Juan Pelota Cafe, located inside Mellow Johnny's Bike Shop, is a gathering spot connecting the cycling community and our downtown Austin neighbors. Serving a variety of coffee drinks, smoothies, cold drinks, wine, and local craft beers, as well as pastries, sandwiches, and other snacks, our cafe has been a warehouse district staple since it's doors opened in 2008. Juan Pelota's staff is dedicated the barista craft and always has a warm smile, a friendly "howdy," and a drink recommendation at the ready for everyone that comes through the door. Stop by one morning, or come by for happy hour starting each day at 3 pm with $2 beers and $1 off wines.

All of our coffee drinks start with beans from Coava Coffee Roasters from Portland, Oregon, and Little City located off St Elmo St here in Austin, Texas. Each roaster we work with uses farm-sourced single origin beans for the freshest flavors that are both bold and smooth. Ground in-house our baristas pull your shot on our custom La Marzocco three group head FB/80.

Smoothies
Each smoothie features organic ingredients that are locally sourced whenever possible. Our house blends are staff favorites as well as customer suggestions that we've simply fallen in love with. Recipes can be changed, or you can simply build your own. One particular customer's ask? Make the Brown Cow a Brown Bull--by adding an espresso shot. A smoothie is perfect just about any time; post-ride, breakfast time, or as an afternoon treat.
