Date: May 1, 2011 @ 6:30 pm to 8:31 pm
Location: - Mellow Johnny's Bike Shop

Help us to say farewell to the “Play Me, I’m Yours” pianos which have enlivened the city’s soundscape for the month of April, and also pay tribute to an Austin icon, Pinetop Perkins.  Enjoy unique performances at all 14 pianos by Austin artists who are all playin’ for Pinetop.  Following the performances the public will be invited to join in and play their own tribute to this blues legend.

Since we will be riding into the evening, helmets and bike lights are required!

This week's ride offers three options.  One option is a beginner clinic taught by a certified instructor which includes an 8-mile ride along the Lance Armstrong Bikeway and other hike and bike paths.  The second is a pedal up Shoal Creek Blvd and back.  This 20-mile route will wander through beautiful, bike friendly neighborhoods along established bike routes and neighborhood streets.   The third choice is a shorter version of the Shoal Creek route bypassing some of the longer hills with a ride distance of 15 miles.  All options are "no-drop" meaning you will not be left alone out on the course. Yes, there are a few hills.  We do live in Austin!
